Our barn cleaner was on it's 2nd (I think) slide when we pulled it out last fall for an auger system. The slide was junk, and I was surpriesed to see the extra couple years we got out of it.
Never dealt with Patz, even though we have a dealer just up the road not even a 1/4 mile.
We rebuilt the drive unit before we carried it into the barn. Overall I think Badger makes a pretty good system. Don't see too many used parts for sale as they ussually run them til they puke and replace. We were lucky when we found the used chain. I think it had about 5 years on it when we had it put in. I remember it was in the middle of winter and our old chain kept breaking, sometimes 3-5 times in one night. Dad went on a business trip to NC, and left us home alone to deal with it. First he got a nasty call from Mom then he said to just call them up and have it done.
I think he had to sleep on the couch when he got home too...
