the draft control is supposed to set the amount of pull you are putting on the 3 point hitch.i.e. if you were plowing at say 4 inches deep and you hit a hard spot in the field,the draft control would raise the plow slightly to allow you to pull thru that spot without spinning and then let the plow down to its previous position
