Hello I have a 135 Massey Ferguson with a Perkins d3.152. It has a rope seal in a alum. housing for the rear main seal the manual said that it comes the right lenth, but the aftermarket kit rope seals are about 1/2" longer should you cut off the extra are am I doing something wrong. I have over 25 years in rebuilding boat 2 & 4 cycle engins just no tractors. Thanks
