Better call the army. It's the chinese digging up from the other side. Once they get into your caves, ya can't get rid of them. Eat you out of house and home.
Most of those caves run water depending upon upon the time of the year and how wet it is. Put an old fashion well house with rope and bucket. Maybe clean it out till you hit water. I suspect it is a hole in the limestone rock but if it is laying along some type of seam/fault in the rock, you'd want to know. I'd dig around the edges to make sure it is a hole in solid rock and not something that will creep to your house. Drainage from the house going that way may open it up more. Good luck with it. Some of those caves and underground rivers in the ozarks can be interlinked for over 30 miles or more. My sister lives at the head of the Spring River. Artesian wells all over the place. Some that only flow at certain times.
