Sciatica is caused by a disc pushing on your sciatic nerve where it exits your spine- it iis usally caused by an event or events that caused that disc to bulge a little and press on the nerve.I would take some Motrin to reduce the inflammation -Walk as much as I could -By walk I mean in good shoes that have cushioning -And walk for at least 1 hour or more per day--As long as walking doesn't offend your back-Walking wil provide blood flow to the injured area allowing it to heal much faster-Avoid sitting on bleachers, in overstuffed chairs-Lay on your back if you are going to watch TV -Also try to strehgthen your abdominal muscles-GOOD LUCK and I hope this helps you!
