No farming here. I just checked the rain gauge and we had a very unexpected 4 tenths of an inch of rain earlier tonight. Did it rain farther east? Looked like they might have got a good storm north of here. I felt that if we didnt get any rain over the weekend that by mid week we could be in full swing, no chance now. Forecast looks bad and we were to wet anyway. I had the backhoe out this afternoon working on a couple of tile problems and I was suprised how wet the fields really are. I heard that over near monmouth they started yesterday afternoon but they are rained out now. Its all in mother natures hands. The weather forecast out of peoria are somewhat less than perfect for sure and I have no desire to have brads old job. Wrigley and I will just quietly toil here on the farm. bill
