The children are old enough to know better but do you think after being caught doing it. And even after given a blast for it maybe 20-30 times. They still leave the fridge door open. Or fail to roll the lower freezer drawer closed. Well today the milk was sour etc. Compressor was running and the freezer compartment was frozen. Yet the fridge compartment above was warm??? No blockage in the duct from the evaporator coil/fan up to the fridge??? Pulled the cover off the evaporator and found the return air passage from the fridge down to the evaporator coils 100% frosted. Took 10 minutes with the daughter's hairdryer to loosen and remove a chunk of ice about the size of three lbs of butter. Tipped the fridge up and found a whack of dust/dirt too. Stuck in the bottom mounted condenser coils that can't be reached from the front air grill. Maybe when I get home at 2:30AM from work tonight the beer will be cold?
