Well, it takes more compression ratio and more spark to fire methanol. It will want to eat up the gaskets in your carb. It has the nasty habit of ruining bearings once it gets in the crankcase, goes by the rings. Your gasoline carb is calibrated to burn gas at around 15:1 while methanol burns around 6:1. In other words your going to need another carb. Other than that it will be easy. The alternative fuel I would recommend for your tractor that is easy by comparison to convert to is Propane. later
