The "handout" you get from the Pharm, usually a small 1/2 page or sheet, JUST HITS THE HIGH SPOTS re" side effects etc. The insert you have to ask for--it"s the one with all the little teeny fine print, and you may encounter reluctance to hand one over. Read it carefully. LOOK FOR: Counterindications or contraindications; Drug Interactions (if your Dr or Pharm doesn"t ask what else you"re taking, to look for bad interdrug reactions, do it yourself--there are websites that will, no charge); Precautions: Warnings, among other fascinating things, like whether that drug was ever tested on your gender, age, health situation.
