To change from pos to neg ground is no problem. All you need is to install the the battery neg ground, switch the wires on the amp guage from side to side, so the guage will read correctly and polorize the generator to get it to put out neg ground power. I can't tell you the correct way to polorize the generator without knowing the make and model, but you should be able to find it in a shop manual. YOY MUST POLORIZE THE GENERATOR BEFORE YOU START THE ENGINE OR YOU WILL DESTROY REGULATOR/GENERATOR . Good luck! It's an easy conversion.
