atleast this screw up aint my fault.
The tank that came with my B was a real mess when i got it, it was full of rust but it sure was solid. I eventually gave up on cleaning it out with nuts and bolts and decided it would just be easier to take it somewheres. I found a nearby radiator shop the next town over and they said theyde clean it out and seal it for me. When i went and picked it up and looked it over. It still had all its paint, and still had some rust and junk in the filler neck. I assumed theyde stick it in their tank and get everything down to the bare metal, but they musta done something else. I dont think a $20 can of red-kote is worth $80 to apply, but its my fault for not asking enough questions i guess.
The other day i went to try to start the C and get it in the garage so i could try to figure out the govenor, but it wouldnt start. Then i noticed the sediment bowl is full of dirt and rust and red stuff. As is probabally the brand new carb.

I now have to dig up my reciept and take it all the way back there. They sure dont look professional there. They diddnt show tax on the reciept and i asked the guy about it and he just kinda shrugged. I dont think theyre even a real buissness. Im out a most of a tank of gas, alot of time and alot of aggrivation. Hopefully i get my $100 back. an $80 profit sure must be nice for that. I thought about saying something there. I expected better, but they assured me it would work fine and wouldnt come out. Probabally wouldnt of if theyde bothered to clean the tank.
I still have a jug of gas that sat in the C's tank for 3-4 years. The rusty, old rotten gas looks better then the brand new stuff out of the B tank.
This sure sucks.
