One thing is for sure, all of those places are just a big turn off, darned gimmicks, and the guessing game as to what they are actaully feeding you, been years and years since I've chanced any of that big name fast food, way better off hittin the store, summer time veg stands, farms stands, local butcher (which is a dying trade) and making your own, raising your own or what have you, those darned places just don't do it for me, I'd rather just do the work myself and sitdown, be thankful for what I have, and enjoy. I realize some of them have tried to catch up to the times compared to what used to be, just that stigma is hard to shake.
I like what James mentioned happens at your place, whether attending or helping put it on and for me that is no trouble at all, enjoyable work to make something people know is good and will really enjoy. We do a similar thing at another friends farm/acreage, they don't really farm or do crops anymore, but rent it out, do a little logging here and there, but there's nothing like these gatherings even with the work involved to put it on.
