I just read the Product review in the archrives about lead substitutes. I am a confirmed "Johnny Popper". But we have a Alice or two around to keep Johnny company. Many of the old mechanics have told me that the lack of lead dont bother these old engines unless you are really pushing them hard for extended use, ie, plowing all day etc. I would like your opions, with reasons for them. I know that if we have overhauled and put in hardened seats etc it is less important, lets stick to "Original" engines, performance/damaging effects. One added twist, here in MN we have 10% ethonal in ALL gasoline, except that sold as "non-oxigenated" which is currently $1.74 per gal in our town. Is the Ethonal a factor? Sorry for the lengthy topic.
