Lanse, Before you go putting something pieces of stone, bolts, nuts etc. in that tank to knock the rust loose, make real sure you can get them out. There is an anti-slosh lip around the filler neck on most Allis gas tanks, so you can't just turn it upside down and get everything out. Don't ask me how I know. Paul
