Hi Ron Don't over look the fords,861,3000 and 4000, models will be close to your price range.I think diesle is the only way to go! Lots of power, good on fuel! On the 800 series be shure its A model 861 its the only one with live pto.Oh yeah the selecto speed has independent pto also but has had a bad rep. for dependability.The massey,s are nice to but I don't know the model #s as well I almost bought a 135 but it sold before I rounded up the $ . It seemed very solid with good features. Of course the JD's and farmall are good but I now even less about them. Good Luck WRP
