Rob- You know the answer better than any of us out here. I went thru this type of thinking in the mid-seventies, with an automotive services shop. I said to he.. with the economic whip-sawing and moved on with my life. If you honestly know what your shop rate needs to be, and be careful 'cuz you might not, post it honestly for your customers and let the local scene adjust. You gotta keep in mind that in an ag area, serving ag customers, you are dealing in and with an economically stressed situation. Crudely stated, everybody is struggling hard to just hang on and hoping tomorrow will be better. For some perspective, check out your local PBS TV programming for a series about The Farmer's Wife. It is about a young couple over in Nebraska and their struggles to keep going on a farm. Sad, but very informative. Good luck and God Bless, IHank
