It's not impossible that water got in. I drained all of the fluid last night, and then briefly ran the tractor. When I moved the lift lever to the up position, it went up (slowly). I closed the valve that lets air escape when lowering the lift (drop rate valve) to force more fluid out, so that it would drain more completely. Then, I started it again, and repeated it. This morning, I did it one more time, and it seemed to come up much quicker (almost normal). All of this is w/ both hydr. drain plugs removed! I'm going to keep raising and lowering until it won't any more (each time a bit more fluid trickles out). There is also supposed to be an intake screen. When I bought my filters, I got one that looks like an air pre-cleaned. It's a cylinder about 2-1/2" dia x 10" long. Not sure where it goes, but I suspect it goes in where there is a lg. plug in the side of the xmission above the sediment bowl/ filter. If you know where that filter goes, let me know. I'm beginning to suspect that some sludge might have clogged things, and that as I remove fluid and cycle the system, things might be working themselves loose. I'm tempted to fill the system with diesel, cycle a few times, then replace with 303 fluid. That or put in some type "F" xmission fluid in to clean thing, or a mix of the two. When I bleed the brakes, the fluid comes out a bit dirty, but when I check on the dipstick, the fluid is so clean it's hard to see what level it is at. I'm wondering if part of the system is not circulating fluid or something. Anyone got any clue what might be going on?

Show Coverage: Journey to Ankeny - by Cindy Ladage. We left Illinois on the first day of July and headed north and west for Ankeny, Iowa. Minus two kids, we traveled light with only the youngest in tow. As long as a pool was at the end of our destination she was easy to please unlike the other two who have a multitude of requirements to travel with mom and dad. Amana Colonies served as a respite where we ate a family style lunch that sustained us with more food than could reasonably fit into our ample physiques. The show at Ankeny
