there are a few reasons for the lift to be slow. it can be a general hydroulic problem or only rockshaft problem.you can begin by checking other hyd. functions: is the power steering ok? you should be able to turn the wheel quite fast and it should go easily without stops or hesitations. if it's ok check the remotes with an external cylinder. if the cylinder works fast then your problem is within the rockshaft system.if steering is not ok,then it's possible you have a general hyd. problem: drain the oil and remove the suction screen (under a large plug at the right side of the tran. case, use a 1/2 socket handle)see if there is sediment and what it consists of.if the screen is clogged it can be the cause for your problem. if you see pieces of lining at the screen check your brakes!, brake linings are very sensitive to water and tend to fall off the discs! when thre are no more linings then it works metal aginst metal and you get harmful metal sawdust at the trans. and hyd.sysem.(llok for metal sawdust at the bottom of the filter cup).email pr post after you make theese checks. david

I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
