I have been receiving calls from telemarketers. I called Verizon to complain they said the only way a number was givin out was if someone gave it to one of those dept store giveaway stations that give you a junk item for a couple questions.
I have since then registered both my cell and land line in the " national do not call list"
They had 30 days to stop,or be punished through the law. 2 weeks after registering all such calls stopped. and all has been quiet for 6mo. now
Just Google it now and register your numbers.and call your cell phone provider to see if giving out your number is in their plan. If it is threaten them that it would give you a cause to break your contract, and since they are going to break it first, you should not have to pay the penalty. and tell them you will look elsewhere for a phone.
