The problem is that the "war on drugs"was wrong from the beginning. Some drugs are real bad and should be stopped and even the crooks will agree. How marijuana got to be involved is still some ancient crooked deal that went on in the 1930s or something. If you actually had a law enforcement group that could stop drugs then you maybe had a chance 30 years ago.You have a law enforcement in a lot of places that cant do much. Its been a while since I was downtown in Detroit and called a cop.I bet it hasnt changed much either, they arent going to come unless somebody is being murdered and then its to make a report or something. They dont have time to do this other stuff. I would say 7 years for growing a marijuana plant in a flower pot is far more than the prosecutors and legal aid prosecutors assistants need in a law.We need far less people that are misinformed, that jump on the bandwagon of doing this or that, and just dont really know what they are doing. To say make rape legal because a "war on drugs"that has marijuana involved is kind of absurd. There is plenty of abuse in the world if you dont know. Its just as absurd if you get caught with some marijuana and sent to prison for 2 years or 5 or 7. The enforcers you talk about with the teeth are sadistic criminals for what they are doing now.You are wanting more? You need to learn a little about it before you form an uninformed opinion about something that can come back and hurt you. What if your teenage son grows a marijuana plant and gets sent away for 7 years?
