Karl , I've switched many tractors over to 12 volt. It's simple! 12 volt starts the tractor a lot easyer. And if the person also installs a 12 volt alternator , the battery charges a lot faster. You can not beat the 12 volt systems higher performance. Now , of all the different tractors I have had , I have never switched one of my own. Why? Because I like everything original. I'm into nostalgia. I like things to look and run like the day it left the factory. Also , I think they sell better if they are all original. No matter how good of a switch over , a collector or novist like my self still notices that the tractor has been tampered with. When I buy anything , not just a tractor , if it looks like it has been tampered with , I shy away from it.

I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
