John: You said it was logged? Musta been HARDwoods? If so, those stumps do NOT just pop outa the ground with an average backhoe if you have clay type soil. Easier with sand soil but do NOT cound on just poping them out. That may change your ideas about what to buy for a tractor. An old D6 or bigger RENTED for a while may be better. I've dug basements for over 30 houses and hardwood stumps 20" and bigger are a pain for average backhoes when ya have lots of them.(unless in sandy soil) Careful on counting on a backhoe. Machine size matters, not always newness, when dealing with BIG stumps.. harvey
