Bought my USA marked Buck 112, with stainless bolsters, nearly 14 years ago at Wal-Mart for something like $30 and carry it just about every day. It gets sharpened once in a blue moon because it's used more as a tool than a knife. By that I mean it's a gasket scraper, hole digger outer, hammer, etc etc. Usually it stays sharp enough close to the bottom of the blade to actually cut twine, etc with it. When it gets sharpened it usually takes awhile but I've got to admit it holds it's edge pretty good for the use it sees. Also love the old Old Timers. I've still got one of those that was given to me over 30 years ago that gets carried as my weekend pocket knife. It survived a two week bath in bilge water, when I was in the Navy, that discolored the blades but it still stays sharp when you get an edge on it.
