gun guru said: (quoted from post at 17:58:49 06/01/09) I have mentioned that it sickens me to see what has happened to GM.
However: Look at what the US government did to the car industry.
1. The politicians allowed the ja*s to come here and set up plants and pay NO taxes. The crooked 8astard politicians will sell you out for a dollar, as long as they get votes for it.
2. The Japanese government helps their industry by not allowing US made cars to be sold in their countries!!!!! that is called unfair trade....plain and simple.
3. If the crooks in DC wanted to level the field for US car/truck makers they would say "no imported cars, only cars made here are allowed"
4. Their should be a loss prevention manager at every GM plant to monitor theft, (from employees) also monitor that UAW and salaried employees are at their work stations if they are on the clock.....A lot of dishonesty occurs in this area, and I know for a fact that it happens. Ford and X-sler could use a Loss Prev. manager too.
5. 20-30 years ago the Big 3 should have realized that the retirees would suck down way too much and that the companies would not be able to pay it anymore but-----stupid is as stupid does. The executives had no brains to realize this.......too late now. I understand that an insurance company will pay the pensions now?
Ross Perot said it best,NAFTA will create a sucking sound in the USA.
