I am working on painting my shop, and I want to paint the trim Farmall Red and Farmall Gray.
I have been able to match the Farmall Red close enough with the Valspar exterior latex I am using. The Farmall grey is more difficult since I do not have any tractors that color.
So, anyone got ideas of the code/color for exterio latex Valspar for the old Farmall gray? I looked in books and it is hard to match colors because of different lighting (and sometimes the old tractors are just painted a different color of gray). I have some Ertl toys that are Farmall gray. They seem dark and I wonder if the color is a fairly accurate duplication of the old Farmall gray?
The Valspar 304-6 (Whale) looks close to the Ertl Farmall gray, but does any one have the definite answer? Probably should not matter all that much, but I am figure why not try to match it as close as I can.
