I have delivered a Farmall F-12 to my home which was owned by my Uncle Morris who passed away last year. It is a 1934 F-12, serial # S12064; has a fuel pump/sediment bowl (which I was told is a bit unusual), rubber on the front (I was told that someone did a front end swap with Uncle Morris because they really wanted the origional single steel wheel), Steel wheels on the rear(I have all-I hope- of the lugs), and an attached 2-row cultivator unit. That cultivator has been attached as long as I can remember (I am 56yrs. old now). The best, I know based on family discussions, is that the tractor was purchased in/after 1934 by my Granpa Carl Ysen. Uncle Morris took over the family farm after Grandpa's passing away. Since Uncle Morris' passing, my mom and the rest of the sisters have been going through paperwork and have not found anything relating to the sale of the tractor for verification. No owners manual and related stuff have been found either. There is a bracket on the fuel pump side of the motor, which looks like he may have had a generator on it at one time. I do not remember the tractor having one. I plan to put a drawbar on the tractor to pull wagons in the future. Getting it running after being dormant (because of a failed fuel pump, he said, in the late 1990's)is my first priority. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thank You. Paul McCracken

Today's Featured Article - 12-Volt Conversions for 4-Cylinder Ford 2000 & 4000 Tractors - by Tommy Duvall. After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion. After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet). I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
