Dave, you have to have enough weight on your tractor to pull heavy items, or your wheels will spin, especially if your going up a grade or slope,
I have an IH 240 with a loader, I also have fluid in the tires and I chained 500 lb. weight to the 2 point hitch on back, with chains on the tires, when I pull a tree that weighs 1 ton, it does the job, but the tree is not on wheels, and dragging it is tough going up hill.
