When I bought this thing it seemed to run okay. My ears are not those of a an experienced mechanic but it sounds fine, doesn't really sound like it's missing on one cylinder. I've had two friends over to look at it who are pretty experienced mechanics and they said nothing of it sounding bad. The backhoe works good and now thanks to Marc at Equipment Parts Source, the loader works great. It does smoke some though not all that bad for an old girl. It is a push rod engine (not overhead cam) and starts right up and runs just as when I bought it. Now I have a TD6 and this Case 310B, hog heaven. Regards, Rick from Paso.
