I had one a few years ago. That was the first one I've ever seen. This is what I gathered, from my own assumptiom (GUESS). Years ago, there was a franchise here called White's Tire And Auto. It was sort of like a Western Auto. They sold lawn mowers, tillers, and serviced your car. Now, knowing that, and seeing that tractor, I ASSUME that it was made to be marketed for them. As to your tractor, the engine was made by Briggs & Stratton. This looks to be the original engine because the paint is in roughly the same shape as the rest of the paint. It has 5HP. You can look on the start cover and get the numbers off of it and determine the year of the engine and get a good idea of the year of the tractor. If you need to back up, and it don't want to roll, push forward on the lever. This will allow the big pulley to move forward a little more and loosen the belt more then it will freewheel to back up. HTH, Todd.
