Yes you should bale clockwise and you could fit more hay on the wagon if you stack it by putting one bale in the middle going vertical and two on each side going horizontal. Then layer two stack one vertical on the left or right side of the wagon and the other four horizontal. And layer three do the opposite of layer two.
