Mike: How's things in Wild Rose Country? Was talking to friend of mine whose Dad was a Moline dealer way back when anybody who wanted to be a dealer could be. He took on a Moline agency when they were marketed through Waterloo. About all he ever sold were Z's and U's, and very seldom, one of the "G" series. He also mentioned he sold one Avery and that was sold because he had a bet with another dealer that they could sell it before the other. Apparently nobody wanted it because nobody had heard of them. Looke in an old local history book the other day and the first gas tractor into our township was an Avery in 1916, so somebody knew about them.
