My 1985 Nissan 4X4 was dying at nearly 400,000 miles in 2000. I paid $6800 for it new in Grand Forks North Dakota. 15 years later it failed California smog due to a burned exhaust valve. Sold it to the state smog program for $ 1000. It had the original break pads, and I never touched the engine other than oil changes. It had the original fan belt. That truck was always reliable, and it's capital costs were $40 a month for 15 years, or $0.0145 a mile. Wish I could buy anouther one just like it.

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
