You have to be a registered hunter which requires classes and a bunch of tests that aren't given in English (and my German isn't good enough for so much in depth stuff) to own a gun other than an air rifle here. As far as chances, there are a bunch of small kids in the area, and it was about time for them to head for the school bus. Figured I could handle being bit and go through the needles in the belly better than any of them.
