I can't say that buying my first tractor was all that pleasant.
I finally found one at a reasonable price and asked the dealer for a demo before purchasing it. They got ready to load it up and bring it out and learned the powershift transmission was out of it. It had been traded in but not checked out. Needless to say the dealer wasn't very happy with the farmer that had traded it in and represented it as being in good working order.
The tractor was a 1972 Case 1070 and I purchased it in 1977.
Congratulations on your purchase. Wasn't many Olivers in my part of the country as there was no dealer. Only one family had one to my knowledge, about like yours. Enjoy!
