In 1960 we got married in march and rented a small house on about 1/4 acre out in the country. A neighbor had a Farmall "B" sitting along the road for sale,I got to thinking [ which is bad for me,thinking that is] I should get it and plow some gardens or something,so I stopped and drove it around,it had a 2/12" pull plow, cultivator and a drag section to go with it.Paid $200.00 for it and drove it home. That fall I bought a case "CC" at a neighbors sale and at the sale talked to an old guy about renting his Farm.Well ended up cash renting his 80 acres and bought a bunch of other machinery to farm with all old stuff. Long story short in the spring of 1971 I sold out my 40 Cow Dairy herd and my line of mostly late model equipment .An AC 190,a D17 ,D14 w/Loader and 2 WD45's were on my sale bill. The Farm is in a Family trust so I still have my 1/12 interest and still have one of the WD45's which did not sell then.It is rebuilt and painted and sit's in a small insulated with con floor Garage which I built at one end. The farm operator uses it occasionally to pull wagons or rake hay etc.
