They are rubber, not synthetic Neoprene, or oil resistant. They are way too hard (durometer rating). There will be so much vibration you will think it was welded in place. Sidewall, or tread from tires is somewhat better, but not much. Go junkyard shopping and use real mounts. Even if not in the original unit. Also be sure the mount failure will not open the throttle. Chevy got into that mess and had a major recall. JimN
