Also be sure the mount failure will not open the throttle. Chevy got into that mess and had a major recall. JimN
Tell me about that one. 65 Chevy Impla, red 2 door hardtop, 283 three on the column. Pulled out of a gravel drive turning left. Tire spun untill it caught on the pavement. Not only did the throttle hang wide open but the clutch knuckle between the engine and frame dropped out. And away we went. I turned the switch off and the engine dropped back down on the broken mount. I was able to drive it home without the clutch (before synchronization). Then to the Chevy dealership. They put a new motor mount plus a cable that bolted to the engine and went around the frame and bolted back to the engine.
