I haven't really had a chance to do any feildwork since we did 1st crop a month ago. Been getting kinda stressed and overall just blah lately. Been on the farm a lot, just fixing other stuff and working on projects but not much seat time.
Today I went home, hooked my 1600 onto the 4 row cultivator and did a 6 acre feild that had grass coming up here & there and some other weeds.
I gotta say after spending an hour or so cultivating I felt a whole lot more relaxed and I even seem to have a little more energy. Gonna need it because now we're planning to cut our 2nd crop this week as it's finally got a bud and just starting to bloom. Gonna make small squares with it.
This weekend I hope to wrap up the welding on our feeder wagon that we're replacing a bunch of steel on, so we can paint it and put it back into service after several years of not being used. Then we can grease the running gears on our hay wagons and look at the baler & get it ready. Plan to cut Mon-Tues-Wed so we can bale Fri-Sat-Sun. If we're lucky we'll get plenty of help. I kinda doubt it though.
