Just a few comments, the Ag Dept, as you call it, what I think is probably the Farm Service Agency of the US Dept of Agriculture has never told any farmer what they could and could not produce. I am a producer that grows 800 acres of wheat in SW ND. The "Ag Dept" has never told me what to grow, nor have they told that to my father, grand father or my great grand father. They just bribed us with commidity subsidies. I want to plant oil seed hemp but some in congress can't stand that idea, it is not the FSA, It is the DEA and its backers. Currently I am filling out my FSA form 578, Report of Commodities so I qualify for the gravey train. It is not how I want it put it is how it is. Our government, and every outher government in the world wants cheap food. Otherwise the poor would riot. I also hope you realize the last time the Federal Govt was actually reduced (# of employees and Budget) was when Carter was President. As for health care, I don't think it is expensive, not for the cures we get. What is your reference? Do I think the government should stop making promises ? Yes.
