You take politics way too seriously. Change is needed for no reason other than to limit the terms of the devils we elect. Our provincial conservative government was fired out of office here about 3 weeks ago in favor of an NDP (socialist) government. I can't say that it pleases me much to see what we got, but what we had needed to go. It was a caucus of rookies who acted like rookies and made one stupid mistake after another from the top right on down. A new leader is needed who can rebuild the party, recruit new and qualified canidates and get ready for the next election in 4 years. If things go as I expect, these devils will have it fu***d up enough by then that a junkyard dog could get elected if he ran against them... but it would help to have someone seemingly competent to the majority.
I don't see that the GOP is in a terribly different situation today save one critical difference. At least our boy admitted it and quit. Your grand dame doesn't seem to have even than much sense.
