Well, one thing I can say to that is that Sweeden has fully socalized medicine and has since a very, very long time. They've also got a lot of other things you'd hate too, including my cousin's husband... tho he left there a long time ago.
While those other numbers you have may be fact or not (I don't know), they would represent an average wait time for everyone... not the 3 hour treatment time for the guy with money and the casket for the guy without money in the system you so staunchly promote. It also amazes me at how much money is wasted in your system on needless tests and procedures that are performed to bilk insurance policies or mitigate liability. I would hazard to guess that if the United States decided today, whole heartedly, that they were to institute a universal medicare system on the scale tht we have that a lot of the money needed to run it could be found in the waste you presently have. Likewise, our system could improve the wait times and outcomes we have by finding more doctors and techs... as that's mainly what's causing the holdup's, but more money is a component to it as well. However, so long as the debate persists as to whether or not we should have universal health care, nothing meaningfull will be done to fix it... Whatever that has to do with Palin's resignation, I don't know.
