Anybody having any problems with the cam gear cracking on their newer Kohler twins? I've had two break on two different machines that only had 800-900 hours on them. They don't have a key, they are pressed on to the cam!!!! That seems to be a problem to me. I've been getting 2400-2800 hours on the other Kohlers before they need a overhaul, but this isn't good. Guess I'll be buying Kawaski's on all my mowers from now on. By the way, we have 3 Kawaski 12.5hp singles on 52" walk behinds that my Dad bought in the 80's. They all have around 8,000 - 9,000 hours on them and they've never been apart. I like those, but they just don't enough umppphhh in the tall grass sometimes. Oh yeah, no one from Kohler will call us or the dealer back. So much from answers from the factory.
