Almost all on and off road diesels will use the DEF 'Diesel Exhaust Fluid'. GM, Ford, Dodge will use it. Fuel economy will not improve over 2008, 09 levels as the particulate filter will still be required. DEF cost will be based on Urea prices worldwide. It is basicaly urea fertilizer mixed with distilled water. Just another goverment mandate that that is a tax increase. Below is a link to an artical on how the system will work on Dodge pickups.
