The bearing is a two piece with the shoulders taking the thrust. I was thinking of drilling the thrust face and inserting copper rivets with the appropriate face thickness on one side. The full plain side of the bearing facing the flywheel since the pressure of clutch disengagement would be the largest thrust load. I think I'm looking to take up approx. .025". Don't know if shifting the crank forward .025" would create any problems. This isn't a tractor that's going to see a huge amount of working hours.
