I've never worked on those valves much but I'd wonder if the detents are set too loose? If I understand you correctly, you're saying that the 3-point works fine but the remotes only momentarly show system pressure and then drop? Almost like they're kicking out? That would make me think it's a detent. I forget now just how to adjust that but there should be a screw of some sort, probably with a sloted head and a lock nut. I'd think if you loosened the lock nut and turned the screw in that it might tighten up. Other than that I'd lean towards a weak spring or some other part in the valve being worn, broken or scorred/leaking.
