Never heard of either but I just rebuilt the engine (203 series Perkins) in a 165 Massey that had the engine painted gold even though the rest of the machine was silver. The gold engine paint appeared to be the only coat so I assumed it was factory and painted it back the same way. I have no clue as to the significance or lack there of of the color difference nor if it has any meaning as to the difference of the machines your asking about.
