It seems to me that the cop was a long ways in the wrong on this one. For anyone that thinks otherwise, ask yourself what you'd have done if you were being chased by some nut in an unmarked car, and then confronted in an arguement that led to a fight. If you had any sense you'd be defending yourself.
My brother had that experinece several years ago with an off duty mountie. Granted, my brother passed him on the right on a 4 lane highway because buddy was dogging along in the passing lane. Mr mountie took that to heart and proceeded to give chase a 90 mph in his own vehicle, flashing his lights and driving like a nut. He finally caught my brother at an intersection in the town and wasn't too pleasd about having been outrun by a Hyundai.... Only at that point did my brother realize that he was dealing with a mountie as he still had his uniform on... but had he been anyone else, given the way he behaved, or in plain clothes, he'd have been planted in the asphalt, right there.
This one doesn't sound too much different. Mr. Cop should have identified himself immediately and shown his badge, IMMEDIATELY. Otherwise, he's just some john dick looking for a fight... which he got, and got gotten. I hope the $hit hits the fan over that. It should.

But, on the other hand, there is a secret language that our mechanical companions readily do speak. It is an interesting form of communication that involves all the senses of the listener. In this series we are going to investigate and learn the basic rudimentary skills of understanding this lingo.
