There should be a tag or sticker on the welder that will tell you the primary current draw of the welder. You then can size the over current protection by that. Take your primary current and multiply by 200% and that will be your fuse/breaker size. Say your primary current is 30 amps, then your fuse/breaker would be 60 amps. Your supply conductors should be 70% of the rated primary current.
