Well, I guess I am just one of those that don't want to work. I guess I'm not as good as some of you "greater than thou look down your nose I can always find a job" people. Like is said, at 50 companies are not that anxious to hire you. I have some health issues(bad hip) also, so they look at that as a negative. Where I live has seen the loss of a major employer, and along with that went many smaller companies. Sure I found some work, but the guy seems to have a problem paying people after you do the work for him. With an unemployment rate of close to 10% it must mean there is not that much work around, or maybe everyone in this area is just lazy and don't want to work. So before people start making foolish accusations, maybe get the facts first. But then again, some people are just that way. I am sorry for the tirade, but you try living on less money than your bills for awhile. I have sent out well over 100 resumes this year and have heard back from about 5. Had an interview today, was told they had an unexpectedly high number of applicants. I guess jobs are just out there waiting to be filled, huh. For the first time in my life I have been looking for work other than around here, why, because there is no work here. So keep your snippy comments to yourself until you know some facts.
