In the 60s and 70s I was very active in engine rebuilding, (today, at almost 70 years old, i've done everything from lawnmowers to locomotive diesels) and you could always tell an engine that had used Pennzioil, as it would be full of a grey sticky sludge.I've never used it or recommended it, or any of the "dime store oils" sold by places like Wally World. Recently, at a farm store I saw 2-1/2 gallon containers of Shell Rotella, and the fine print said, "Packaged by Pennzoil". Sounds Scarey to me.

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
